Privacy Policy

Overview

PhotoTidy is designed to help you review and tidy your photo library. Your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data to our servers because we don’t operate any servers for this app.

What We Collect

We collect no personal data. Specifically:

• No accounts or sign-ups.
• No analytics or tracking.
• No advertising identifiers.
• No server-side logs tied to your identity (we run no backend for the app).

On-Device Processing

All photo review actions (keep, stage, delete) and related metadata (such as local identifiers of photos you’ve staged or kept, progress counts, and space-saved totals) are processed and stored locally on your device using system frameworks (e.g., Photos, UserDefaults). This information never leaves your device via the app.

Photos Permission

To function, PhotoTidy requests access to your photo library:

• Read access to display your photos for review.
• Write access only if you choose to delete photos you staged for removal. Deleting is a write operation in iOS.

You can manage or revoke Photos access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Subscriptions and trials (e.g., 3-day trial, weekly/monthly/yearly plans) are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Apple may process personal data in accordance with Apple’s policies.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Restoring purchases is handled on-device via Apple’s systems.

Children’s Privacy

PhotoTidy does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information outside the app (e.g., via email), please contact us so we can delete it.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because PhotoTidy does not collect data on servers, there’s nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. All app data resides on your device. You control it by:

• Adjusting Photos permissions in Settings.
• Removing the app, which deletes local app data (e.g., preferences and staged/kept lists).
• Using the in-app Review Bin controls before permanently deleting photos from your library.

Security

All operations occur locally and use Apple’s system frameworks. We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode or biometrics.

International Transfers

We do not transfer your personal data internationally, as we do not collect or process personal data on servers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of PhotoTidy after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
